The trends in modern music.

It seems that women are used a lot in the music industry. Women are objectified by having their sexuality used for things such as advertising, music videos and other things. Using women in music videos has become so prevalent that it's nearly impossible to be relevant in the music video business without exploiting them.

This contributes to a large story that forms from the images projected from the collective of the videos. This story constructs a idea of what it means to be a man or woman where in men are expected to have lots of women fawning over them, while women are portrayed as nothing more than nymphomaniacs that need and depend on men. The need portrayed is so stern that it depicts that women rely on men entirely, falling apart when they aren't around. with things like this, women are expected to be emotional, weak creatures while men are beings of control and power, almost to the status of a god.

An effect of this are the influences these videos generate. For example in relation of prejudice against gays, men are known to be more hostile compared to the gender bent occurrence of girl on girl relations which is present in Hip-Hop videos.
As expected, this is promoted in said videos to exemplify sexuality of women meanwhile, the opposite, men with men, is nonexistant and frowned upon.
This makes a occurrence of hostility and approval to one gender but not the other.
